Stripping body for painting!

Post by Gaelicguy »

 That’s car bodies of course, I’m not “Goldfinger” ( for the young members, check James Bond, who incidentally drove a Coupe in a Bond movie).
I am looking for a company on mainland Europe the does whole body chemical stripping. The 3 stages remove paint, filler and undercoating a finally rust. Then it is all pacified, oven dried the dipped in high build primer
Not in expensive, but hugely time efficient and it gets into every nook and cranny , OK everywhere.

Does anyone know of a company that does this? I thought I had a company in Lisbon.
But the Company, Caetano only has small tanks not big enough for a 4 m body shel.

Any help would be appreciated, my only choice at this time is to haul to the UK and back.
Thanks in advance
Michael

Carblast in the south of Germany has done Dinos already. They have a variety of different treatments/methods.

For anyone interested in this type of stripping, I’ll post the end results in a month or two. I also found another option besides Carblast in Germany. Pro-Strip in the UK does the same work, except they do not do the dipping in house. But they manage the whole process of taking to a specialist in Northern England.
The price from both companies is almost the same approx €4200.
I’m choosing the English company only because my brother who is an apprenticed panel beater, who has restored many cars in the past 30 years recommended them highly.
And he will bring his rotisserie back to Portugal on the trailer.
Here’ the before pic
Wish us luck

Using a magnet I found two areas of bingo on the car, this very old repair was mingle well done, but the bindi fill 12-15 mm set back in the body panel
