Re: Inspecting a Fiat Dino Coupe - Areas to Cover?
Scott, this website has plenty of examples of where rust will strike a Dino. http://www.dinouk.com Mechanically the timing chain has grief potential because it's manually adjusted, and 2 litre gearboxes can be weak. Generally, coupes are valued way below spiders and restoration may not be feasible....

Inspecting a Fiat Dino Coupe - Areas to Cover?
Fellas - I'm moving to Naples in a few weeks and am in the market for a Fiat Dino. I've owned dozens of vintage cars before and usually do a pretty good job of inspecting them mechanically. I'm also fairly good at finding rust, repaired sheet metal, accident damage, etc. What I need some help with -...

Re: 2.4 coupe engine break in procedure
Hello there, I have finally finished rebuilding my 2.4 engine and actually have it in the car running...which I am very grateful for! I have ran it through a few heat cycles and was wondering when I should re torque the heads and check the valve clearances? I installed copper head gaskets on this e...

Re: Difficult to Find Parts???
I agree that it's a bit of an apples to oranges comparison, as we say. The cars are really not that similar. I also fully realize that the GTV makes much more sense than the Dino, but I'm still seriously considering the Dino. I don't think the prices are that far off. A very nice Alfa will run you $...

Re: Difficult to Find Parts???
Scott, When it comes to parts availability, the Alfa GTV's are streets ahead. To get an idea of what you can get for Dinos have a look at: http://www.superformance.co.uk/fiat/index.html http://www.dinoparts.eu/DE/EN/fiat-coupe-spider-2400/home/ I own a 2.4 Coupe and an Alfa 2000 GTV. They are both ...
