Fiat Dino fuel delivery

Post by Jon »

Hello I have a 2.4 coupe with original fuel pump which intermittently got stuck and needed a little tap to get it going... I recently changed to Facet red top fuel pump and nice pressure regulator from Superformance... But due to fuel delivery problems, I had to update to a red top Facet with slightly higher specs than Superformance Redtop... I am getting good flow to the pressure regulator and bowl is filling up better but still bogged down if I tried to let out the clutch... Carbs were cleaned out and prior to fuel pump change I did not have these issues... Any suggestions? Thanks much...

Maybe fuel pressure changed compared to the old configuration?
In that case the needle valves in the carburettor might need some attention or re-adjustment because of changed float level.

Start the fuel pump, and get a look inside the carbs. If any is dripping inside , then the pressure is too high.
