Air filter Box

Post by robmurray »

I have just bought a 2000 Coupe and it has non original air filters. See attached photo. I will source the correct part in due course but does anyone know what these are? Presumably they are a performance upgrade? Worth keeping on the car? I have seen them on a few Dino photos. Thanks. Rob

They are K&N lookalikes, work well and last for ever, also expose that lovely engine.

From your replies it seems that these are perfectly good filters. The cost to replace with the original set up is very high. Originality is very important to me but if these are period performance parts perhaps I am best to keep them on the car - what do you think? Thanks again for your help.

Keep them, probably more efficient than the original. Are the filters wire mesh or a woven fabric - usually reddish in colour? They look good and as I said the engine is not hidden from view.
