Early Spider spare wheel.

Post by mdsassaman »

My 1967 Dino Spider has knock off wheels but the spare tire wheel is a bolt on wheel. Is this incorrect? Do I need to try to find a splined hub for it as it doesn’t appear to be able to be used as is? Does anyone know of a wheel that is available anywhere?

Center-lock and 5-bolt mounting systems are incompatible. The center bore is too small for the hub, so you cannot mount the wheel. Your only option is to find a replacement wheel with a center-lock mount.

Tom's Dino Garage is selling them for a fair price

Thanks for the information. The shipping and Tariffs raises the price so I’ll first search for a wheel in the USA.
Thanks

I recently sold two to a member in the USA. One needs servicing paint etc. I’ll search my emails and contact him to see if he might sell one to you
