I'm trying to rebuilt my '67 Spider as close as I can to the factory release.
One issue I have is the finishes of the parts fitted to the body.
I've been searching all the brochures and movie clips I can find. My car has been repainted about 40 years ago. It wasn't a bare body spray, so a lot of things are over sprayed.
Four things I cant come up with at this time.
1. Are the inside of the doors sprayed or bare metal? my are kinda over sprayed with the red of the outside?
2. Are the door hinges painted or just cadmium plated?
3. The same applies to the windshield frame where it fastens to the A pillars, I saw an early Italian car show with the door open and it was the same chrome as the frame.
4. On this Forum, I saw an early (I think) photo of the engine on a stand. One is obviously just a clam shot, but the other shwows the aluminum bloc as it is, but the magnesium parts are all a gold colour?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Regarding #4, you might think of the photo in a brochure. This is not how the engine looked in the car. Magnesium parts have all been passivated only. Get a cup of popcorn and read this thread: https://www.fiatdinoforum.org/viewtopic.php?t=564

I'm sure you meant a "bucket" of popcorn
I'm inclined to follow Herve's (Dinoverde) advice. I know Herve quite well. I saw the silver 2.4 Spider just before he sold it for $250k.
I also have a copy of all the pics he took on his rebuilds.
My personal belief is that Ferrari wanted to detract from the fact that every 206 and 246 had a Fiat engine so they decided t do something cheap and different.
I'm going with a soft darker gold flat epoxy. I'll post before and after pics in the New Year in this posting.
As for the sump, sealed with epoxy after the vapor basting, and then a flat very dark grey, the natural colour it is now inside and out.
