This is a rare combo. I've never seen this - and I have seen some Coupes.

I’ll admit that my knowledge of the coupes is less than that of the spiders, and certainly less than some of those reading this, BUT, I very much doubt that sunroof is factory original, from what I can see in the images. When I saw your original post, I was expecting to see either a steel sliding panel in the roof, or the more commonly seen large fabric Webasto style sunroof, but not a glass panel, the type of which was quite common in the 1980’s and 1990’s as an aftermarket addition.
I see no reference in the auctioneers text to it being factory original either. No doubt someone will Ducati me further!

Hi Brian

This is for sure not a glass roof installed on a supermarket parking lot in the 1980`s.
I have studied the pictures a little more now, and noticed that the roof crank/ winder was stamped GOLDE.
When Googling "Golde sunroof" or "Golde schiebedach", I find a lot of info about this German company.
It was available for most German carbrands of the 60`s & 70`s like the Beetle/ Porsche/ BMW 2002/ Opel etc.
But Fiat also marketed the Golde sunroof on several models, and I have found info on Fiat 1300/ 1500 & 2300 on the web, even on Centro Storico Fiat`s Facebook page!
So periode correct, and promoted by Fiat, but I`m not able to proof that it was installed in the Bertone/ Fiat production line on the Dino.
But I have seen what seems identical metal sun-roof on two or tree other 2400 Coupe`s, and I have also seen this Frigette Aircondition on a handfull of 2400 Coupe`s.
I also tought that I had an option price list on the Dino, where bout the sunroof & AC are priced, but Im not able to find it again :?
But what I just found in the French owners manual for the 2400 Coupe, is a description of the AC, but seems like another version than the Friggette!
So more myhts to be revealed ;)

Hi there,
I’m clearly going blind ( if that’s possible, if you’re going blind, things aren’t clear!)
Studying the image of the car in question, I mistook the reflection for glass, whereas it’s metal. So my apologies all round. Before posting anything again, I’ll look a bit closer before I apply digital to keypad.
Great research on your part however. Keep up the good work!

Well , i inspected the Dino coupe thinking of a bid . The AC was an aftermarket kit still sold in the USA for MGB and TR6' . The leg room on the passenger side was poor as a result and the glove box fuses almost impossible to get to . Nice to have AC . The sunroof was a lovely addition but a dealer fitted item according to a far more knowledgeable person than i . I was informed this was never a factory option and they only built around 15 coupes with Ac, majority heading in the direction of USA . The paint was micro blistering ,windscreen was badly fitted the engine and gear box was black with oil underneath , oil pressure low ( may be sender unit) engine ran OK and the car seemed solid but rather unloved . The car was missing about £3500 of original bits. I think it sold for top money £45K inc fees and Vat which is 308 GT4 starting money . considering general condition the seller did rather well. I hope the new owner is ok when they start to use it
