Just to understand Frubiot, have you objective data to say this ?
I hope you're not relying on colour photos published in magazines or worse on the web.
FIAT probably did different colours signed 448, are you sure to have seen that of the correct production?
It's interesting for all FIAT Dino 2400 Coupé fans to deepen this aspect, to avoid unnecessary mistakes in the future
Ciao Patrizio, I'm Antonio Ponzio, in the last picture posted by gran turismo (hello Dan ;--))to show the exact blue 448 the dino was mine and I had to make some minor adjustments on the paint and I tried to find a color already by Lechler but my painter had to change the color. I've had two other dino blue 448 and I did the same thing, my painter made the exact color starting from the base sold commercially. By everyone in Padova, in front of a beer these speeches are even better )
Ok, thanks Antonio, I did not recognize you ...
Do you think that this problem comes from the fact that the Lechler color is different from the original FIAT or that with long time the paint of the car has slightly changed color ?
Ciao Patrizio, I think tath the problem is the different colour Fiat/Lechler, when my painter takes a sample always looks for a part of color not ruined by the sun (usually internal doors); also for other colors (grey 606, green verde medio, rosso ossido) we had the same problem. Fortunately, I know a good technician for paints he can correct and with different tests arrives at the same shade of color.
Hi Guys, just signed in after a while. Saw the posts on colours. I have just had my coupe painted in French Blue which was the colour of my 130 Coupe (now sold),as I could not get a match to 448 metallico. Will post pictures soon.
Ciao Emanuele,
red leather was an option at extra cost, the mid pipes had a specific hole pattern - same as in Alfa Bertone Coupes and Lamborghinis.
Enclosed some pictures from 2400 coupes.
Please note that the originally tomato red moved to caramel under UV light impact.
