Emergency brake release springs

Post by iceblue »

In the process of rebuilding my car. I noticed that the rear emergency brakes are fitted with 2 heavy duty sprigs that rest on a plastic fitting.
I installed them and drove bearly 1 mile and lost them.
I re ordered a new pair, I also notice a small knoch in the stud that holds the spring place.
Is there suppose to be a locking washer?

Does every one still have these emergency brake release springs?

One more for everyone~

Wen I got my car, i noticed that there were no spring " emergency release " springs.
I ordered a new pair and lost them down the road minutes after driving the car.

I then realized that is a small notch on the stud that holds the spring. However, there mention anywhere of any clips to hold the spring from popping out.

I manage to make my own out of modified door clip.

You can use a normal "E"-clip in the correct size for that purpose.
