Coupe 2400 restauration

Post by Benz 116 w »

Dear all, Please someone tell me what brands of oil and fluids in what quantity should be used in the engine, differential, gearbox and brakes respectively. I would need the exact codes too. Thanks, Zsolt from Hungary

Everything you need to know is in the manual that you can find here: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=298
It is important to use only the specified oil for the differential. Any 20W50 oil proved to be good for the engine.
There are also a lot of dicussions here regarding these topics. Just have a look at them and continue there in case of further questions.

Yes, thank you I have checked those comments as well, but I was looking at some other options from that of Superperformance as first step. Maybe you know something about the carpets too? Thank you in advance, Zsolt

I purchased my carpets on ebay, a shop from Belgium I think. Unfortunately, they haven't arrived yet, so I cannot tell my opinion. But you can have a look. There are some other interesting items, like door rubbers and other stuff.

Dear Barnfind,

I think I have the same carpets, from the Netherlands. I asked the guy to send a a diaghramm, but had only been helpful until he received the payment. Thus I have 18 pcs for the cabin and some 13 pcs for the booth, with no idea how to place them. My main worry is where they overlap, at least that's what the old ones did....B/R, Zsolt

People here has been very helpful to me..

I have received and mounted new interior carpets in cabin and in luggage compartment. Bought them on e-bay. Write if you need further information.
