Full Restauration

Hi you guys, I want to share also my ongoing restauration with my Fiat Dino Spider 2.4 in the UK with you guys (VIN 1312). I am the third owner and I do have that car since 10 years using it for many lovely trips to Italy. But it was obvious that a full restauration was needed at some point. My deci...

Re: Kidston Restored 2400 Spider

If I look at every detail... like e.g. the middle console with all the levers and the respctive surroundings... it looks absolutely flawless.

Re: Kidston Restored 2400 Spider

Yes, a very beautiful car... one of the last ones. I have the VIN 1492; maybe they have seen each other on the assembly line back then. And one of the best colors. As I am always saying... a restoration of a Dino Spider close to perfection can easily consume 100-150K and more. I know that people do ...

Re: 1972 Dino 2400 Coupe project car for sale

All well answered to this guy. You are right... this forum is for free and yes... and yes... it is not very much alive as well as the German forum. But we all have to face the fact that first... the amount of cars being manufactured is low, the ones which I would call caretakers are slowly disappear...

Re: Coupe 2000 or 2400

2.0 or 2.4 on the coupe makes a big difference, especially as the 2.0 needs higher revs to move this heavier car (in comparison to the spider) in a kind of sporty manner. The 2.4 engine has a much easier game with the coupe. In terms of pricing and budget... very hard to say, as the more expensive c...

Re: Another Dino 2.0 at auction #1144 I think

Yes, this is my Spider, a 2.4 with the VIN 1312. I knew it needed a lot of work but drove her frequently to Italy for a while and invested also already some money in technical stuff... but in the end... the car needed to have the full job. I know Mark since a long time and up to that point he was do...

Re: Coupe 2000 or 2400

Looks to me more or less like the same car... no pictures from underneath which Iwould request first. Compression test should be demanded next. Overall, looks like being repainted once but you cannot tell by this shiny outer what this car is all about. And...the Italiens know what these cars do cost...

Re: Restoring a 2.0L 67 Fiat Dino Spider

Great decision... and I wish you all the best for this project. Everything, which is painted in black at the bottom of the car looks to me like previous repairs... once the paint is off... you will discover some weldings most likely. Nevertheless, if you open the spots at the A-pilar you might want ...
