Does a 1967 Series 1 car have the same levers/pulls?
Fiat made so many design iterations that I always have to ask whether someone is explaining a series 1 or series 2 car.

Gaelicguy.
Naive question but how is the air box choke expected to be used/operated? Should the airbox flap be closed when I am attempting to start the car?

Does a 1967 Dino Spider 2.0 have a lever to control idle?
My 1967 spider has a lever arm on the lower left side pf steering wheel that controls the flaps on the air box (this is seemingly useless) but I wasn't sure if one of the other levers controls the idle/throttle bar on the carbs? If it does, mine may not be connected properly. Thanks!

67 Dino Spider Convertible Top Color
I have a green 67 (color code 388) and the convertible top is currently beige which is lighter in color than the brownish/orange interior. I would better describe the top as resembling khaki. What is the correct color of the top as it was shipped from factory? Somone told me that it was likely a bla...

Re: Carpet set for Spider
Agnatus,
I have a 67 Spider Series 1 and desperately need new carpets. What did you think of the fit and quality of the carpets you ordered from DSG Autoteppiche?
In searching the forum, Cabrio / KHM was also recommended.
Thanks.

Re: Replacing valve cover gaskets
Thank you to all of you for the guidance. We discovered that the Marelli distributor was not properly grounded - on the outside of the distributor there is a small condenser / capacitor and there is a screw that connects to the car’s ground. If you don’t have the proper washer then you can short the...

Re: Replacing valve cover gaskets
The distributor’s rotor has this odd thin metal sliver across the center nut, doesn’t look like it belongs. Any idea why it’s there?

Re: Replacing valve cover gaskets
I marked the distributor location against the camshaft as shown before I started the repair. I’ve moved the distributor a few degrees above that mark and a few degrees below that mark with no luck. See picture. How do I connect a strobe? Do I connect it to the first cylinder spark plug cable to see ...

Re: Replacing valve cover gaskets
I got the car to start momentarily but the engine sounded off, there was a few pops when it started, it ran for about 45 seconds and then stalled. Couldn’t get it started again. Could I have flooded the carbs with all the attempts to start the car and constant tapping of the accelerator peddle? I’m ...
