Working on restoring a newly acquired 1967 Fiat Dino 2000 Coupe. There is a red warning light that is persistently on in the tachometer. Manual says it is a battery charging warning light, but the battery is charging. Appreciate any help in sorting out the problem.

Perhaps the relay that controls the charging indicator light is faulty, or some of the connections aren't right.

I don't have a wiring diagram for the Fiat Dino 2000 Coupe handy, but the relay switches off the charging indicator light when the alternator is supplying approximately 14V.

In the wiring diagram for the Fiat Dino 2000 Spider, relay 37 switches the charging indicator light (50).
