Hi,
I would like to install a hazard light system integrated on the dashboard (like below)
I got the hazard switch "cavis" and an additional flashing relay 4 pins.
On my car, there are 2 originals red wires not connected behind the dashboard, one for the radio and the other for power supply to a hazard switch or relay ?
Has anyone added this system ? Or an original wiring on his car ?
It'd be a big help
Thank you,
Hazard light system

Re: Hazard light system
You can add a 4-way Hazard function, by using a "modern" standard indicator relay from the 90´ies.
For instance something like this:
Note, as the Dinos have only one turn signal warning light, you must add a simple diode bridge, like
in the wiring diagram below. Otherwise this type of indicator relay will not work in our cars.

Re: Hazard light system
I have a series 1 1967 Dino Spider, does my car have a factory installed hazard light switch? I've looked through the manuals and don't believe the car has a hazard light switch but correct me if I am wrong?
Re: Hazard light system
Good morning..
The 1967 Dino Spider Series 1 did not come with a factory-installed hazard light system..
For this switch, I welded a small piece of angled metal next to the choke cable mount under the dashboard and simply mounted it there.
Alternatively, you could also mount the switch in the center console.
It’s very easy to connect to the existing wiring in the Dino Spider.

Re: Hazard light system
Thanks for the information.
I have a coupe 2400.
Think the wiring between spider and coupe is different.
Adapting the existing wiring like this is correct according to you ?
Which indicator did you use ? Would like put a discreet one.

Re: Hazard light system
As far as I can see, you are on the right track!
But first, a small correction:
In my wiring diagram, I seem to have made a slight mistake,
mixing left and right side of the turn signal system!
The light blue/black wire from the turn signal switch 85 should
be connected to terminal L, and the light blue wire from the
turn signal switch 85 should be connected to terminal R at the
new turn signal relay.
Terminal 30 at the relay should be connected to a fuse carrying
+12 V all the time, not only when the ignition is turned on.
(I am not sure, but I think fuse H is suitible for this purpose.)
This means you can always turn the hazard lights on, even if
the ignition key is not in the car.
Re the turn signal warning light, you can use the original green
warning light, by using the diode bridge I included in the wiring
diagram.
Use something like this:
If you just connect one wire from the left, and one wire from the
right side of the turn signal circuit to the green warning light, all
blinkers will start flashing at the same time, through this wiring!
But, using a simple diode bridge like in the wiring diagram, the
two sides of the turn signal circuit will remain isolated from
each other, and the original warning light will work as it should.
I have made this conversion in my own Spider, and it has been
working without any problems for many years now...
