Re: Water temperature not working 2.0 coupe
Yes, you are probably not aware of that the left head sender is a switch, only connecting the engine temperature gauge wire to ground when engine is dangerously hot. The gauge will then point at the red end of the scale! The sender in the right head is the "normal" sender for reading the c...

Re: Overwhelming Petrol/Exhaust Fumes
Not only the Dino Coupes are suffering of smell from exhaust fumes. When I first noticed the smell of exhaust fumes in my Spider´s boot, I checked the exhaust systems for leaks, but in vain. Only after a new rubber seal for the boot lid was installed, the smell was gone. Strange enough, after having...

Re: Switch command wiring coupe 2400
Your problem is best solved by using the principal schemes over the two switches 90 and 91 you already have added: By using a multimeter in Resistance mode, or - if a multimeter is not availible - by using a battery and a suitible bulb, you can determine when the contacts in a certain switch are in ...

Re: Original 2.0 valves
As far as I have understood, no 1987 cc Dino engine were equipped with sodium-filled exhaust valves - at all. These were introduced in the 2418 cc engines. Some years ago, a professional Ferrari mechanic told me that the sodium-filled valves were developed in the late sixties for racing purpose and ...

Re: Original 2.0 valves
I have never seen any kind of documentation saying the 1987cc Dino engines had sodium-filled exhaust valves from factory. All the 2418 cc Dinos had these, causing their owners a lot of dropped valve disasters... Different experts often claims the sodium-filled exhaust valves get brittle over the yea...

Re: Wiring problems
First, in general terms, the +12V feed in a car is not wired from the fuse box to just one particular bulb, relay, electrical engine or switch. To cut down the length and complexity of the wire harness, several of the car´s electrical installations are sharing the same power feed. A wire with a cert...

Re: 135AS/BS? 0000754
Re the pictured chassis number plate, it is probably not the original one, as the "135 AS" always was printed with black paint on the original plates. Only the homologation number, the actual chassis number and the spare parts numbers digits were stamped into the aluminium plate. Also, the...

Re: Carb trouble
Many small parts in Weber carburettors are identical and used in several models.
Strange enough, this is not the case with the idle jets in DCN 40 and DCNF 40:
The original numbers are often shown as 74401. and 74405. (followed by the size
number, e.g. 055)

Re: Carb trouble
This "classic" hesitation is probably just depending on too small idle jets. To work well with our "modern" ethanolmixed fuel, the original 0.50 or 0.55 are too small. Try 0.60 or even 0.65 instead. That, and strong ignition sparks from a working Dinoplex or MSD ignition usually ...

Re: Unknown relay
It is the relay number 31, controlling the no-charge warning light, number 50.
In the electric wiring diagram, it is not shown placed-out as in reality!
