Fiat Dino Rocker trim clips

Here is how I replaced the rusted clips that hold the stainless steel rocker trim on my spider.
The original clips (2 per side) looked as though they were part of the titanic. I purchased some galvanized sheet metal and cut it to a slightly larger size then bent the edges over for more strength.

Then put a curve into it and made a hole for the bolt. Stainless steel hardware.

If the fitting was too loose I just had to flatten the curve a little.
A simple job

Colin at Super Performance in the UK now has these. He had them remade. They are a very complicated design!
I am still looking for one chrome trim though............Lost it during the last 20 years!

Thanks for the picture tutorial!
I am attaching the strips to my dino 2400 coupe project now, but luckily got hold of some plastic new clips.
But I will keep your procedure in mind when it does not fit.

It was a very simple how-to. I just wanted to get the ball rolling here.
What SF sells is needed but not what I replaced. I did not see the end screw-in parts on the site.
You are talking about this right:

I came across this site from a Google search - they have sill trim clips for Dino Spider and stock 124 Spider chrome sill trim but not Dino I'm afraid.
