Exhaust systems - Coupes

Hi, Does anyone know if the 2l and 2.4l exhaust systems are interchangeable for fit? Also can a 2l centre section be fitted to a 2.4 l rear section?

Both systems are completely different and not compatible.

Hello
I dont mean to hijack the thread but it seems like the question was answered good enough.
I was wondering for the Fiat 2400 Coupe, what kind of exhaust systems do you run? Superformance? Dinoparts? Imasaf? I need a complete new system on my 2400 and its tempting to buy stainless. What do you guys recommend? Any experience with the stainless headers?

I have fitted my Coupé 2.4 with an Imasaf system in 2001 and there are still no indications of corrosion or wear. This is 13 years. Quality is good. The current pruchase price for a complete system (4 items) amounts to approximately EUR 600 in Germany at dealers such as Holtmann & Niedergerke Tel 0049 5231 61790.
The exhaust system offered by Superformance differs from the FIAT original as Superformance' front section has only one silencer (at least so to be seen on Superformance' webshop) whereas the FIAT original and Imasaf reproduction have two. With regard to the price the Superformance version is slightly more expensive than Imasaf.
The Dinoparts' system also has only one silencer at the front section and is THREE times more expensive

Seems like quality for the IMASAF system is good then, and the price seems fair as well.. I have read from several owners that stainless systems have a completely different sound, but on other cars it seems like stainless is preferred? My car has fitted an unoriginal system and the sound is like a Granada V6 from the outside
Paying that much more for the Dinoparts system is not interesting at all.. Is the "three into one" part and headers allso available from Imasaf?

Hi Daniel, as far as I know Imasaf does not supply 3-1 and headers. But I have a set of original 3-1 and a set of original headers in good conditions which I would sell. Please let me know if you are interested. Perhaps you send a PM with your telephone number and email adress to send you some fotos of both items. Wood make it easier to communicate.
I know from the 246 Dino that the stainless steel exhaust system indeed alters the sound.
