What is the correct ohm reading for the "full" and "empty" on the gas tank sender unit?

My sender unit reads 1/2 empty when I only need @ 3 gal to completely fill the tank.

Is the tank sender unit that one can purchase thru Dino Parts in Germany the correct one?

The dash gauge works correctly, so need to recalibrate or buy a new one...HELP!!!
