Bom dia,
I’m taking the seats of my car apart as part of a total strip down for restoration of the car,
Can anyone explain how to remove the black cover plates of the hinge mechanism so I can unbolt them from the seats. I’ve already removed the black teardrop covers and the knob for adjusting the rake of the seat back.

If You adjust the backrest to the Maximum Position you can reach the screen through the hole.

This is what Thomas meant by ratcheting seat back as far as possible.
