Dinoplex wiring

Sometime ago I bought a restored Dinoplex.
I am in the middle of trying to install it. There was a Dinoplex at sometime, but 30+ yrs ago someone dumped it for an MSD5 unit.
I have a wiring issue!
Can anyone tell me what the short pigtail coming out of the Dinoplex, not the crossover switch, is for? It’s the one at lower right side.

Thanks
Michael

http://dinoplex.org/

+1 Excellent website. Helps restore these units to their original glory, and they're excellent (imho).

Yes, Adrian did a fantastic job with this Dinoplex info site. It's not only your opinion that an original Dinoplex is the best ignition unit. Only technically similar ignitions such as the Winerburn are on the same performance level.

Thank Tobi,
The car came to me with an MSD5 using the Original MM coil.
So this wiring is all new to me. Some one has run a red wire from one of the relays under the fast to the old MSD5, they didn’t use the original blue and brown wires.
Nos tha I have the car running just on a coil, I’ll try and install the Dinoplex again this week.
Thanks
Michael
