Hi all
Thru my Dino chassis number research, I was in contact with Pininfarina.
And to my big surprice they could tell me that they in 2023 has launched the Pininfarin Classiche Service, where they can provide "Certificato of origine" on the following Fiat models:
1500 -1600 spider & coupé 1966
124 spider 1966 ; 1967 ; 1968 ; 1969 ; 1970 ; 1971 ; 1972 ; 1973 ; 1974 ; 1975 ; 1976 ; 1977 ; 1978 ; 1979 ; 1980 ; 1981 ; 1982
Dino spider 1966 ; 1967 ; 1968 ; 1969 ; 1970 ; 1971 ; 1972
130 coupé 1971 ; 1972 ; 1973 ; 1974 ; 1975 ; 1976 ; 1977
130 berlina 1974 ; 1975 ; 1976
Beta Montecarlo Abarth 1981 ; 1982
Campagnola 1981 ; 1982 ; 1983 ; 1984 ; 1985 ; 1986
Fiat coupé 1993 ; 1994 ; 1995 ; 1996 ; 1997 ; 1998 ; 1999
The Certificate can provide the followning details, dependent of the model:
· Chassis number
· Target market
· Model and type code
· Exterior color
· Interior trim
· Date of departure from the Pininfarina production facilities
· Engine number / optional bodyworks number (To my best understanding this is the Pininfarina Body No.)
· Carpets
To my best understanding, Pininfarina will not be able to provide the engine No. & target market for the Dino, since this was handled by Fiat.
Pininfarina is claiming 400 Euros for this certificate, so a little steep for me not owning a Spider myself, so have not tried this.
But Pininfarina provided me with an example from a Fiat 124: If this is interresting, you must provide the chassis number & year of production to the following contact:
Pininfarina S.p.A.
Via Nazionale, 30 – 10020
