I read on a Dino book that the type of carburettors of the 2.4 has been changed during the production story from 40 DCNF 6 to 40 DFC 12. I think it meant DCNF 12…What’s the difference between the two? Are the two maintenance kits different ?
Thanks

Re: Which carbs on the 2400?
The difference between Weber DCNF 6 and DCNF 12 is, the DCNF 12 has
two adjustible air bypass needles:
Weber 40 DCNF 6:
Weber 40 DCNF 12
So, if not new air bypass needles are included in a specific service kit,
there should be no differences re gaskets, O-rings and so on.

Re: Which carbs on the 2400?
Thank you for the wonderful reply. I see that many carburettors kits for Dino are meant for Weber 40 dcnf 13 instead 12. Can you explain me the difference?
Re: Which carbs on the 2400?
Weber carbs 40DCNF 13 and 20 fit to Ferrari Dino 246.
Re: Which carbs on the 2400?
That means they do not fit fiat dino?
Re: Which carbs on the 2400?
My guess is, all Weber 40 DCNF will fit a Fiat Dino. The different versions 13 - 20 are probably
only referring to different jet set-ups, choosen from factory.
Maybe they need to have some of the jets exchanged, to work well in a Fiat Dino - with longer
exhaust systems, making different gas resistance.
The 246GT/GTS sold in USA had a crankcase ventilation device, and the workshop manual
for these shows a diagram table, with some minor differences between the different versions:
