Rear 3/4 Window drainage

Post by AndrewMcCrae »

Hi, Can anyone advise me please of where the tube for the rear 3/4 Window finishes up.

It looks like it just dumps the water into the inside of the sills as there are no outlets for it.

Is this right? I was thinking of drilling a hole in the underside and bringing the pipes through the floor via a grommet.

Yes you are right. Not ideal, however, the sills should have an opening where the water can drain, but often this whole is closed with dirt etc.or was removed when sills are replaced not completely as original.

Thank you Thomas. Sills are solid and replaced I'd be confident.

So I hear the originals had drainage? I'll probably reduce down the size of the tube from 1/2" and drill a hole as far inboard as I can.

Thanking you.
