My upholstery guy has essentially given up trying to remake my door panels.

I'm looking for a pair of usable door cards, in black.

Periodically check the italian ebay site for more obscure salvage type items.

I am sure you can optimise this search if you know Italian. There is a 2400 panel set with speaker cutouts in the inset - my recollection is that the insets are fibreboard and can easily be replicated, its the main panel which is from a mold. Any chance the door panels/cars are the same dimensions on the 2000 and the 2400? If they are the same, there are some really nice looking door panels/cards on eBay right now at a price I'm sure is less than having some reupholstered:

You can purchase vinyl spray paint to change color. I've used the paint to go from tan to maroon, tan to blue, and maroon/red to black.
If they are 100% compatible in size , I might consider them for the price and paint them black.

I would ASSume that the panels are the same dimensionally, But - you know how that goes!
