Have you seen the NOS heads behind the link on page 1 of this thread? They have no paint. I don't want to call this a proof, but it's a very good evidence. Old factory or magazine photos might also provide a good evidence. But 40+ year old engines without a full owner and service history are not a good evidence, not to mention a proof.

And I am 100% serious about this! Or do you people also doubt about the word of a world wide respected DINO expert like Mark Devaney? ;)
