Hello Hervé,

I am searching for alternatives as well, as my brandnew Konis are too soft in compression mode, leading to heavy break dive.

In the past, Sachs 170 564 and Bilstein 24-005494 B6 dampers were available (similar parts as for the Fiat 125), but currently unobtainable.

The only current alternative seems to be Spax. I will try them now.

Your link seems to show a "no-name" reproduction for Fiat 125.

Regards

Ribolla

Could you not get your original ones rebuilt as they seem to come apart easily and would only need some seals and new oil.

I am just finishing my body restoration and not yet got round to the mechanical, so I don't know of a shock rebuilder. If I get stuck I will do them myself.

Is there anything wrong with the Koni, such as available at Superformance?

I have also read that a Koni facility in the US will rebuild vintage Koni shocks but have not tried it myself. A few minutes googling it should lead you to it. I distinctly recall some vintage Lamborghini guys talking about it on their forum.

I bought the Koni from Superformance UK. Ride is very soft. I’m looking for something sportier as well.
Does anyone make uprated springs?

Bilstein is still producing the front dampers. you can order them in softer 125 and stiffer 132 specification.
