Does anyone know the specs of the ballast resistor that should be used in conjunction with a Magneti Marelli BZR 205A on a 2400? I do have the coil, but seem to be missing the resistor (and bracket). According to the specs & features publication it should have a resistance of 0.7 to 0.9 Ohms, can anyone who is running the stock setup in a 2.4 confirm that?
There should be some specs on the bottom of the visitor, as per the picture below.
Obviously, if you have a spare one you like to part with, let me know!

I had 1.5 Ohm in mind, but the bible says 1: http://dinoplex.org/aec101diag/aec101diag.html
Look at the last paragraph.

Thanks for the quick reply Tobi. I read that parapraph differently, as in if you use a 202 instead of a 205, you should add another (1 Ohm) resistor in line with the stock Marelli resistor.
“ For this replacement you need to add a single one ohm (1Ω) resistor in line with the Marelli ballast resistor”

You seem to be right. I'll have a look at one of my coils when I'm home on the weekend. Maybe the resistance is printed on the original reisistor.Scalino wrote: ↑Thu Jun 17, 2021 2:11 pm Thanks for the quick reply Tobi. I have been informed by someone running a 101 Dinoplex that the resistance is 0,8 Ohms according to the specs on the resistor.

Cant the resistance of the ballast resistors be measured? I've measured a few of them now and all showed 0.0 Ohms resistance.

I am able to on one I bought yesterday together with the bracket. It measures 1,6 Ohm (a 0,8 Ohm one is one the way), so I guess you should be able to.
