Chrome trim clips

Post by 4cambob »

Does anyone know where else to buy the trim clips for the chrome strip that runs down the side of the coupe bodywork. The ones from dinoparts are too expensive at €233 for a handful of plastic clips.I have found these which are the same type but I believe a different size.

I have been told other classic alfas used the exact ones.

Hi, I just got mine from autostoria.fr for... 1€ apiece!

It took some digging, but they are the same as for the fiat 500. The reference for the part is:

BG500005/1
Agrafe de baguettes de bas de caisse - Fiat 500 / 600 / et Divers
0.95€

https://www.autostoria.fr/en/moulding/1 ... &results=1

There is a sheet with dimensions to double check they fit for you (me=2400 coupé)

Good luck,

Dario

Hi Dario, thanks for the reply but those clips are not the same dimensions as on my 2.0 coupe. See the one on the right on my drawing with approximate sizes.

Hi Dario have you actually fitted the sill trims on your 2400 Coupe succesfully using the clips you obtained from the French supplier? I have measured the gap between the return folds on the back of my trim at about 10.5mm but the French clip diameter is about 16mm. I assume that you fit the clips to the sills first and the trim is clicked on to the clip diameter. Any advice most welcome.
Thanks, roadrunner
