wiper motor removal
Does any one know how to remove the wiper motor on a coupe without un-soldering the wires. The wires are soldered on within a plastic cover on the end of the motor. There is no other connection joint I can see for these and they then pass into the wiring loom underneath the front wing.
Re: wiper motor removal
I think by a Spider it should be the same. Don‘t understand your problem. This are two plastic parts, one on each side from the cable connections......

Re: wiper motor removal
Like I said it does not have a white connection block, the wire come from the main loom and are soldered to the rear of the motor, similar to this photo.
Re: wiper motor removal
It looks as if you have a different wiper motor. Assuming mine is a standard Coupe fitting [I'm sure it is], I agree that it should just have the male/female white connector blocks.

Re: wiper motor removal
The photo I posted was similar, in fact mine one is exactly like in your photos and the only connection I have is like yours from the motor to the gearbox, but the one you have showing disconnected is simply not there. It maybe because my car is the 2.0 litre ?
Re: wiper motor removal
Spider and coupé have totally different wiper motors and mechanism.
Graham's wiper motor is a coupé version (2000 and 2400 are the same), whereas Vlad's wiper motor is the spider version (again 2000 and 2400 are the same).

Re: wiper motor removal
If it was me, I would cut the wires and instal the white connector plug as shown in Greg's picture. Will make life a lot easier.
Re: wiper motor removal
Thanks guys for the input, I will do a as Dario suggested as it seems the best solution. But I will try and find an original type replacement rather than something modern.
