2000 Dino Spider Alternator Relay Wanted

Post by gguarige »

Hello fellow Dino Friends,

I discovered the relay that operates the charging light in my spider is a 6V unit. I discovered this when trying to get the light to function correctly and go out by using a 12V relay. I have not been able to source a 6V relay. If anyone has a spare please contact me. Additionally if anyone has advice to convert the relay to 12V I welcome your input. Thank you, Guy

Hi Guy,
The correct relay to operate the malfunction red light of the alternator is a 12 Volt Sipea T 5220. Important, it is an OPENING relay, the same type that operates the fuel pump. If you do not find an original Sipea one, a Bosch or TRW should work fine as well.
