Ups, very nice to see my pictures from this Dino Spider in my garage.

It makes me happy, to see, that this car will be on the road next time.
Zorglub, are you the man, who had bought this car some years ago near Heidelberg ?
Where is the car now?
I found this car 2007 or 2008 in Freiburg in the south of Germany. In the 70 years this car drove in north germany, later it comes into the south. Since the early 80th it stood in a garage.
It would be nice to see the car, when it's finished.
Best
Matthias

That's looking fantastic! Great!

What did you do with all the small brackets and bolts in the engine bay? zinc electroplated and afterwards yellow passivated? (I did this to some of my parts here locally, but they are not as bright yellow as yours.....)

Regards
Tom

Yes that's still me. The car was in shambles…and the restoration was quite hellish…

But car is near finished. Will post new pictures

OK here are some pictures of the body. Pretty nasty rust everywhere...

What I mean by nasty rust is rust UNDER rust. Plus botched old repairs (you can see Frankenstein soldering jobs in some of the photos).

That meant stripping the whole body bare on a rotisseries, and then peeling it layer by layer. Since no panels are available, we had to recreate many of them from scratch (we used a slightly thicker and better grade of steel for the load bearing parts)

Hi Zorglub
You are doing a great job , but i cannot recognize any stiffenning.
Remember the Dino-chassis is very soft. Deformation can cause a lot of problems later, seen in my Dino Spider
years ago. Good luck Dirk
