Re: Magnesium valve covers protection and finish (2.0 l engi
Have you seen the NOS heads behind the link on page 1 of this thread? They have no paint. I don't want to call this a proof, but it's a very good evidence. Old factory or magazine photos might also provide a good evidence. But 40+ year old engines without a full owner and service history are not a g...

Re: 2000 Coupe colours
A reprint would require that Mike corrects the inaccuracies. I'm sure that he considered this a fea times already the last years and the facts show his opinion about a reprint. Translating the book would not pay. If I think about German, there might be a potential for a maximum of 200 books that cou...

Re: 2000 and 2400 Dino Coupé restoring and modifying project
Finding out what's correct is not easy. You may look at old brochures, but it can still be possible that they show pre-production cars that differ in some details. Photos in contemporary articles might be a better source.

Re: 2400 transmision noise when starting
You should first try to find out where the noise is coming from. When I read your question, it seems that it is only an idea that it might come from the differential.

There are also much more reasonable asking prices that haven't caused a sell:

Re: Oil type
Wim is right about the mineral oil. synthetic oil should only be used for a completely rebuilt engine. Regarding the intelligent molecules, this is only marketing blah or technical homeopathy - bullshit if it has to be said in one word. Only intelligent drivers can protect the engine during the crit...

Re: What will our cars be worth in 2020
I'd think a bit more conservative. Fiat Dinos have been underrated the last years. This is now priced in for the Spiders with their leap beyond the 100k mark. Coupes will follow. It is also important to ignore asking prices and not to put too much importance on a few top auction results when thinkin...

Re: headlight switch on 2400 coupe
It's off when the top is pushed in. You switch the lights on by pushing the lower half.
