Re: Dino Coupe door-lock plastic

also works well on your Lamborghini whose body was made by Bertone. Espadas and Urracos and such.

No replies so all of yours must be in better shape than mine were. :) Every time i locked the door another piece fell off.

Re: Clutch pressure plate

I have now completed the rebuild on my Fiat Dino 2400 Coupe - the engine and gearbox are back in the car and I've driven it a little. So I thought I should explain what I did to make the Superformance (SF) clutch kit work in the car. As a reminder from earlier in the thread: 1) the clutch pressure p...

Re: THE FIAT DINO CHASSIS-NUMBER MYTHOLOGY

Hi Erik, Thanks for the excellent research and write-ups - some great detective work. I see my car (2400 Coupe 4211) is mostly '?' characters in the 135BC table - so here is some info. 135BC0004211, Azzurro Metallizato (as far as I understand anyway) It seems to have been first registered in Abruzzo...

Dino Coupe door-lock plastic

I've been bothered for years about the state of the plastic door-lock surround - the cover for where the lock "knob" pops up next to the window. They seem to be made out of the same plastic that chocolates are packed in, and now they're all 50+ years old.. I got a 3D printer for Christmas ...

Re: 2400 Coupe engine rebuild

Hi,

still hoping to get some feedback on my questions above.

- Does the engine go back in with the exhaust manifolds attached?
- Anybody made the Superformance clutch kits work? If so, how?

and yes, that's a 1961 Giulietta SS.

Re: Clutch mega problem, need expertise.

This is the thread from last year referenced above. http://www.fiatdinoforum.org/viewtopic.php?t=1713 The machine-shop that balanced my engine also did some work on the Superformance clutch pressure plate. Pretty simple, they enlarged the 3 available holes for the Fiat flywheel-pins - and left out t...

Re: 2400 Coupe engine rebuild

High time for a progress update on this thread. A few "events" along the way. As was recommended by most here - I dropped engine and gearbox down from the car as a single unit. It worked out well with a 4-post lift to raise the car and a hydraulic cart to lower the engine. I took the exhau...

Re: 2400 Coupe engine rebuild

Hi Thomas, yes that really helps, thank you. After reading your comment I went looking for some Fiat documentation and found 3 places where the larger (0.40-0.45mm) exhaust tappet clearance is quoted, as you said. I was using the USA Ferrari 246 engine build manual which quotes the smaller (0.23-0.3...
