Re: Overwhelming Petrol/Exhaust Fumes
OK. I thought is was just me, but this is the first classic car I've owned where both car and driver ingest fuel. The smell on your clothes, even after a short drive is astounding. I won't even mention the smell of everything in the boot! The seals looked ok when I last checked (after driving 1,100k...

Overwhelming Petrol/Exhaust Fumes
Hi All, When driving the 2400 Coupe, I end up having to put the windows down as I start to taste the colour purple due to the intense smell of exhaust fumes/petrol. If I put anything in the boot, it carries an exhaust smell around for days. Anyone else suffered from this, and what was the fix? Kal.

Wanted:Chrome Bezel For Main Light Switch
Hi All,
Chasing a chrome bezel for the main light switch located on the far left of the dash.
One of these: https://www.dinoparts.com/en/detail/ind ... icle/21462
Original part number: 4169808R. Does anyone have one they want to part with?
Thx.

Re: Dino restoration on YouTube
Then I blame the salt... but... where do you have your information from that it was not the bad Russian steel? As I have this info from various angles. Hey. There's lots of factual information out there, but this article is a good one: https://driventowrite.com/2022/05/17/vaz-diplomacy-politics-and...

2400 Coupe Engine Mounts
Hi All, The metal engine mount brackets on my 2400 have cracked, so I'm going to replace them with ones from Superformance. Whilst that is being done, I may as well replace the square rubber engine mounts even though they look ok. I noted both Superformance and H&N sell these, and was wondering ...

Re: Compression Test Results
No I didn’t purchase it, and as far as I’m aware the car is still for sale (albeit with a different dealer). Too many variables and uncertainties, and being I’m many thousands of miles away from it, decided not to risk it.

Re: Dino restoration on YouTube
100% subscribe on your statement. The problem is that most of those cars from Italy back in those days do not have sufficient rust protection plus bad quality steel from Russia. And if then you are having complex metal sheet constructions underneath the outer skin it becomes really expensive to get...

Re: Rear wheel bearing for 2400 Coupe
Hi Luis.
I've put 1,200km on them, and experienced zero issues to date.
I would have gone for FAG, but I couldn't source them (or the SKF) in the timeframe required.
regards,
Kal
