Pedal box rebuild

Bom dia a todos, I’m rebuilding the pedal box on my 2.0 Spider. I can’t find the pics I took when I Pulled it apart 6 months ago. A couple of questions 1. On the clutch pedal does the spring hook go above or below the bushing and pin? 2. There are 3 “ thru bulkhead couplings that go thru the box, wh...

Re: Removing a stuck steering wheel

There’s no name on this one, but the arms are cast of CR-V steel, chrome vanadium, note the machined not just cast tips and the nice almost square thread.

Re: Removing a stuck steering wheel

Btw, if you are located in Canada or USA go to any good car parts place. Like O’Reillys, you can rent one from them for a very reasonable cost. They are generally decent tools as they get a lot of use. When you start pulling, use a hairdryer on the hub. Not an open flame.

Re: Removing a stuck steering wheel

Any solid 3 legged puller. Look for cast steel arms with machined hooks not cast finish as they will slip off. The threads should also be cut and not just cast. I will add a pic of a good quality one I’ve had for 30 yrs, when I go to my shop.

My favourite colour! FREE
Will your wife be using the oil and paint stained shelving in the conversion? The threat of this happening is why I bought a house with a pantry and a 2 car, 1 moto garage😂😂

Re: Coupé brakes vacuum pump: is it indispensable?

Bom dia Massimo, I think you will probably not get the response you’re looking for on this forum. What you’re asking for is validation that it’s safe to drive a car with a major component missing. If you are serious about the restoration, rebuilding the brake system is a vital part of the job. You c...

2.4 oil pump

I’m rebuilding the 2.0 at this time. I have a 2.4 oil pump, on close inspection I find the pump gears are as new. However something harder than the pump body got sucked into the pump. The scoring is deep enough that by I feel the old 2.0 pump would put out more oil. Does anyone have a 2.4 oil pump b...

Re: Proper Painting of the Door Hinge Areas.

Lowel, Sometime along the production run, from what from what I can establish, all the anodizing became gold colored. My frame is 000665, it’s probably a great example of what was original ( except for the body respraying, where they managed to spray a lot of car red!) but for instance I have both s...

Spider vent glass

Does anyone have a spare vent glass they’d like to part with.
They are not the same as the 124.

Also I have a new Speedo cable and clutch plate for the 2.4’s if anybody need them for basically half the Superformance price + shipping from Portugal
